Mike McDermott - Adversity South Director
Archie Alhambra - Quality Control Coach / Boys 18's Coach

Archie has over seven years of experience as a head coach for both boys and girls in the Adversity Elite program. A former IHSA volleyball player, Archie was an assistant coach of the 2000 Boys 18's Elite team that finished 5th at the 2000 USA Volleyball National Championships in Reno, Nevada.
Archie's experience includes coaching at Evanston Township High School both in the Girls' Program and in the Boys' program. His experience includes a trip to the IHSA Boy's State Volleyball Championship's Final Four (2000) with Evanston Township High School. Archie was also a coach for two seasons at Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette.
Archie has also served on staff for the USA Volleyball Boys Junior Olympic National Championships. Archie is currently in his 10th season with Adversity.

Liz started playing volleyball at Evanston Township High School and ended up getting a volleyball scholarship to play at the University of Tulsa. She majored in Special Education and taught for two years in Newark, New Jersey and for three years in Chicago. Presently, Liz is a stay-at-home mother of 7. "I love to coach and work with kids. I look forward to helping each player reach her potential."
