Saturday Team Training Sessions

There are two locations available for long-run training on Saturdays

Tempe: Meet at the northwest corner of Rio Salado at Tempe Town Lake Beach Park at 6 a.m.

PHOENIX:  6 a.m. at scenic Cave Creek Park-Cactus.  The park is located on Cactus Road and 24th Avenue (About 1 block east of the Cactus Road exit on I-17)  just north of Peoria.  Directly north (left side of street) of Phoenix Fire Station No. 33.

Park includes picnic area, volleyball court, playground, drinking fountain, benches, restrooms and plenty of parking.

The park is located on a canal that goes directly to Granda Park, great for long runs/walks. The club has charted the mileage along the route, up to a 25-mile loop.

Runners and walkers also have the choice to taking the canal west toward Paseo Park. The path gives runners/walkers a choice of  asphalt or gravel.

Go to "useful tools" in the menu for a canal calculator to see mileage.

Also look at the North Mountain Area Guide button, which shows trail runs near the Saturday club running location.
