AZ Sky is gearing up for the 2013 season. All AZ Sky players are welcome and encouraged to participate. Players from other cllubs in the valley are welcome to join our program. We believe the benefits of playing sand greatly transfer to the indoor door. Players develop all around skill, great court awareness, the ability to read the hitter and anticipate the direction of the ball as well as being more aggressive in play and quickness on the court. Its a fun way to cross train, meet new friends and prepare/train for high school and collegiate Beach programs.

In addition to our summer beach program we are fielding a competitive beach team (club) to participate in an AAU tournament locateded in Hermosa Beach this July. All age groups are encouraged and welcome to tryout. Please see the handout attached with registration costs, dates, and details.

With 120 plus players in the program, lots of fun is being had at Victory Lanes this summer. AZ Sky is building an incredible sand program under the direction of Norm and Kathy Anderson. Several players participate in local tournaments year round and this year AZ Sky will take its first team to compete in California at the Beach AAU's in Hermosa.

Lindsay Weiler and Taylor Woods are playing very well as a team and defeated the Babcock sisters in the 16s Division to win Gold. Weiler and Woods competed in the High Performance Beach Tournament in Hermosa and finished 19th overall in the 17s Division. Congratulations to all the girls working hard in the sand and trying their better their game both on the sand and indoors. Our overall AZ Sky program benefits greatly from this program.
