Tournaments can be a lot of fun.  If I hear of local tournaments, I'll post the info here.  Some are sponsored by AYSO and some are non-AYSO events.  If you decide to take a team to a non-AYSO tournament, be sure your players' parents are aware that it is a non-AYSO event and participants may not be covered by our insurance.  In order for players to be covered by AYSO insurance at a non-AYSO event, the New Lothrop Board must sanction the team's participation in the event.  Please contact Sharlene Timmons for more info (810) 638-5572.

AYSO Section 8 hosts a tournament each year in June for U-10 teams and up.  Section 8 encompasses all of Michigan and part of Indiana.  This year's tournament is in Shelby Twp, MI June 30-22nd.

Bath Soccer Club will host their annual 4v4 tournament on July 26th.  (This is a non-AYSO event) For more info, go to:  http://www.bathsoccerclub.net/

The Common Ground Music Festival and bibo! Ultimate 4v4 Soccer are proud to bring the 5th Annual Common Ground 4 on 4 Soccer Tournament to the Capital City.  The tournament will be held Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th at the Hope Soccer Complex, which is located at 5801 Aurelius Road in Lansing. 

All ages and levels are invited to participate in the event.  Games will be played over two days on multiple small-sided fields.  The spacious grounds at Hope Soccer Complex provide ample opportunity for team and family gatherings and, of course, plenty of high scoring 4 on 4 soccer for everyone.  This tournament will feature local sponsors and event partners.  A percentage of all sponsor financial contributions are donated to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lansing & Okemos Special Needs Camp.

bibo! is searching high and low for enthusiastic youth soccer players with a nose for the goal and a passion for teamwork and self-improvement. In the spirit of promoting a deliberate and naturally creative style of attacking soccer, bibo! “Ultimate 4V4 Soccer”™ literally offers the Ultimate Soccer experience to youths of all ages and abilities. The game is a variation on traditional 4v4 soccer and borrows some popular technical and design elements from hockey, lacrosse and indoor soccer.

Hampton Inn - Okemos is the host hotel for the soccer tournament. To reserve a room at the Hampton Inn call (517) 349-6100 and ask for the room rate with code CGC.

This year Clio will host the Section 8 Tournament the third weekend of June.  We're very lucky to have it so near!  The tournament is open to U-10 through U-19 teams.  If you're interested in taking a team, please contact Kristie Hemgesberg or Sharlene Timmons.

Last year, six New Lothrop referees volunteered at the tournament.  The tournament's host region always takes great care of volunteer refs, including providing meals and refreshments.  If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Ann Drzeweicki or Sharlene Timmons.

            The Grand Blanc Soccer Parents Booster Club is hosting the 12^th annual Ryan Schlee Memorial 3 V 3 Soccer Tournament. It will be held July 21st at the GSSC Rick Hartker Soccer Complex, located at 5203 E. Maple Ave, Grand Blanc, MI 48439.

            The entry fee is $100.00 per team ($20 discount if received by June 30th ) All registrations are due by July 14th . There is a five-player roster limit. The tournament is open to players from under 6 to adult.

Genesee Fieldhouse is hosting a 3v3 tournament December 27th and 28th.  See attached flyer for details.

This is not an AYSO tournament, but the New Lothrop AYSO board has sactioned participation in the event by our teams so registered individuals will be covered by AYSO SAI (soccer accident insurance).

AYSO Area D usually hosts a tournament in June for U-10 teams and up.  (Area D is west of our area and includes St. Johns and Lansing area communities).
