What's up in "08":
Club Fees
The first part of club fees are due Wednesday,
July 2, 2008. The due time of the balance of the fees will be announced
at a later date.
Weigh Ins
We will hold three weigh-ins for the 2008 football
season. We have a preliminary/early weigh-in for those players who
cannot attend the official weigh-in. Please
note, if the player misses the preliminary or official weigh-in, he
will not be eligible to play until the third game of the season.
The dates for the weigh-ins are:
- July 26th - Preliminary
- August 9th - Official
- Sept 10th - Make Up
The locations will be announced at a later date. A new twist has
been added to weigh-ins this season, head coaches will be allowed to
view the weigh-in of all the players in their division.
Roster Checks
The first roster check
will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. All players that plan on
attending the preliminary weigh-in must have their names on rosters at
this first roster check. The final roster check before the start of
the season will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. If a player's
name is not on the roster at this time, he/she will have to sit out
until the third game of the season. In combination with the August 9,
2008 weigh-in, essentially all players who plan on playing in the first
game need to have their names on the roster presented at the August 9th
weigh-in. As of now, a roster check for all the late additions has not
been scheduled. The locations and times of these meetings will be
announced at a later date.
Important Game Dates
Please keep in mind, these dates will change if we have any weather delays.
The official start of the season will be Saturday, August 30, 2008.
In an effort to avoid midweek games, any division that has an odd
number of teams will start their season on Saturday, August 23, 2008.
The playoffs will occur on Saturday, October 25, 2008 and Sunday,
October 26, 2008. The championship games will be on Saturday, November
1, 2008 and Sunday, November 2, 2008.
