Megan grew up in Northern California and moved to Western North Carolina in 1995. She enjoys spending time in the beautiful mountains of WNC especially when she is on her bicycle. She began mountain biking in 1997 and rode recreationally for a number of years and participated in various organized rides including the Tobacco Free for Life and the Tour de Cashiers. She entered her first races this year (2006) and was soon after bitten with the racing bug. Her first cross country races were the S.E.R.C series in Clemson, SC and Ducktown, TN, where she place 5th and then 6th in the women’s sport class. Her real challenge this year was the Off Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell which she completed with a big smile on her face and a discovered love for endurance racing. She looks forward to beginning a full season of racing next year.
