AVA Structure

AVA fields two types of teams: "regional" and "local".

Regional teams are travel teams for players commited to achieving excellence in volleyball. Regional teams compete in 4 to 6 tournaments (Indianapolis and Louisville areas) hosted primarily in the Hoosier and Pioneer Regions of USA Volleyball.

Local teams are designed for players wishing to improve their skills; basis instruction is the primary focus.  Local teams compete in 2 to 3 organized scrimmages and tournaments in the local community.

All teams practice 2 or 3 times a week, the season normally last about 16-18 weeks.  Spring break is taken into consideration and tournaments and practice will not be scheduled during this period.
