HERE'S WHAT A FATHER OF TWO PLAYERS THAT HAVE SIGNED PAC-10 SCHOLARSHIPS HAS TO SAY ABOUT ALL STAR BASEBALL ACADEMY.
Dear Coach Freitas,
The leadership and instruction of Coach Jonn Freitas has been instrumental in both of our sons, Alex Sogard (OREGON STATE) and Eric Sogard (ARIZONA STATE) reaching their goals of playing DIVISION 1 BASEBALL. In addition the experiences traveling with the team has helped prepare them for that as well. Coach Freitas' positive yet low key nature is ideal to allow players to gradually improve their game without the negative high pressure which some others use. He has always treated my sons with respect and is a man of his word.
Thank you,
Rudy Sogard

VELOCITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The Velocity Improvement Program is a complete pitching program that covers everything from the Functional Warm-ups, Intensive Tubing Exercises, Weighted Ball Training, all the way to Bull Pens sets. It includes the most talked about new methodology in pitching today: The "BACKSHAPING" pitching progression.
Backshaping begins at the most critical moment the release and works back one piece at a time.
1. Release - front foot slightly closed, head and eyes level,
elbows closing upon release.
2. Torques - Starts at release you rotate your shoulder
as far as you can and get as much separation
between back shoulder and front hip.
3. Separators - extend hands out or down, then to scapular
pinch, then to release. a bow-flex-bow effect.
4. Giddy-ups - something to get your arms moving.
5. Step behinds - to create movement towards the plate.
6. Inside Load - a position on the rubber to make the pitcher
more athletic on push off.
THE VIP TRAINING INCLUDES THE THREE MAJOR MECHANICAL COMPONENTS TO SUCCESSFUL PITCHING.
1. Postural Efficiency- Helps you throw with more velocity and
will give you better command of the
strike zone. Helps gain endurance and
speeds up recovery time. Improper
throwing posture is the number one cause
of injury in baseball players.
2. Arm Action Efficiency- Allows the body and arm to work in
tandem to produce a more efficient
arm action.
3. Neuromuscular Efficiency- Tempo,Rythem, and Synchronization
of the movements and motions to
allow for a more atheletic delivery.
NORTHWEST VALLEY MON AND WED AT MONTARO PARK, 65TH AVE AND PEORIA. COST $ 125 A MONTH.
THE COST OF THE PROGRAM IS $125 for 8 sessions in a 4 week period, THE CLOCK ON YOUR FUTURE IS TICKING, CAN YOU AFFORD TO WAIT?
So if you want to MAXIMIZE your VELOCITY, KEEP your ARM HEALTHY, and IMPROVE your COMMAND, call Coach Freitas at (623) 695-2570 or you can e-mail me at coachfreitas@aol.com, to find out how you can join the VELOCITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, for the committed player only.
