Arlington Little League: 2008 Spring Levels of Play Divisions

Arlington LL Challenger
Arlington runs a strong program of baseball for 5 to 22 year old boys and girls with mental and physical challenges. ALL is the only baseball league in Arlington to offer this program.
ages: 5-22


Arlington T-Ball
Players use a batting T to put the ball in play and learn the basic principles of hitting, running, and fielding.
ages: 5-6
Parents are encouraged to form and Coach teams with their children's classmates and friends.


Arlington Rookies (A)
The season is with coaches pitching.
age 7 (6 year olds can play Rookies only if they played T-Ball in the Spring of the previous year at age 5.)
Children play on teams with their classmates and friends and Parents are encouraged to help Coach.


Arlington Minors (AA)
8 and 9 year-olds play Minors, a division that emphasizes learning to pitch. The season begins with coaches pitching, but graduates to players throwing to batters.
Children play on teams with their classmates and friends and parents are encouraged to Coach.


Arlington Majors 2 (AAA)
Players control all aspects of the game. This is a competitive and developmental program, which moves players into the Majors 1 level. Players are placed on teams by skill level for competitive balance. Every team has a chance to win any game.

The highest skills for this program are found at this level. Players are placed on teams by skill level for competitive balance. Every team has a chance to win any game.
ages 10-12


D4 Starliper Tournament
District 4 AAA Tournament:
The M2 League Champions play in this post season tournament on various fields in Northern Virginia.


D4 9&10 All Star Tournament
District 4 All Star Tournament
Teams are selected to play in this tournament which concludes at the State level.


D4 10&11 All Star Tournament
District 4 All Star Tournament
Teams are selected to play in this tournament which concludes at the State level.


D4 11&12 All Star Tournament
District 4 Tournament play begins this ALL Star play. Teams advance to State, Regional, and then National tournaments to reach the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Usually televised on ESPN and ABC TV in August each year.
