Algonac Little League: 2012 Divisions
Instructional league intended for players between the ages of 5-6. Basic fundamentals such as throwing, base running, catching and hitting off of a tee will be addressed. Players at the age of 7 that have not mastered these fundamentals may be placed in the T-ball division if saftey is an issue when moving up to the next level.
Boys Minors
This division is intended for players between 7 and 9 who have mastered the basic fundamentals taught at the T-ball level. If the player is age 7 and has not played one year of T-ball they may be placed in the T-ball division for saftey reason. This is a competitive division with an emphasis on instruction. Players will have an opportunity to work with a pitching machine as well as kid pitch. Proper techniques in hitting and base running will also be addressed. Players are selected in this league through a live draft. Players in this division may be selected to play in district tournaments at the end of the season.
Girls Minors/Softball
See boys minors. Softball rules and regulations will be followed in place of baseball.
Boys Majors
This division is intended for players between the ages of 10-12. If a 10 year old player has not played at least one year in the minor division they may be placed on a minor team for saftey reasons. This is a competitive league with an emphasis on instruction. Players are expected to be able to demonstrate the basic fundamentals of baseball. Players are selected in this league through a live draft. Players in this division may also play in district tournaments at the end of the season.

Boys Juniors
The season starts after end of school year as to not interfer with any High School baseball/softball. This is a competitive league with cross-city play.
Boys Seniors
The season starts after end of school year as to not interfer with any High School baseball/softball. This is a competitive league with cross-city play.
