Late Registration until Friday, Feb. 24th
Pick up a packet at Clay Township Police Department. Follow the instructions on the front cover. You must drop it back off at the Clay Township Police Dept. before or on Friday, Feb. 24th.
***Please come to Algonac High School on Sat. Feb. 25th if you registered LATE. You need to have your child sized for uniforms & pick up your raffle tickets.
Fees for the 2012 Season:
TBall: $50
Pitching Machine, Baseball/Softball Minors & Majors: $80
Boys Juniors:$100
Boys Senior & Big League: $125
TRYOUTS: SATURDAY, FEB. 25TH
LOCATION: Algonac High School Gym
Boys Majors - 8:30am to 10:00am
Boys Minors - 10:30 to 12:00pm
Girls Majors - 10:30 to 12:00pm
*Coaches & Managers - the draft be roughly 30minutes after tryouts are over.
2012 Fundraising Campaign
Daily 3 Raffle:
Each family is asked to sell four Daily 3 raffle tickets. The cost is $10.00 per ticket. These will be handed out at registration. In order for the lottery to be successful, Algonac Little League needs to collect $40.00 at registration for the fundraiser.
· $100.00 a day will be given away. (Follows the State of Michigan Daily 3 evening drawing Mon-Fri.)
· Ticket stubs must be turned in by April 30th. (Opening Day - at the concession stand.)
Colony Bowl Fundraiser:
Mark the date on your calendar - Saturday, March 10th. An adult bowling night of fun at the Colony Bowl is planned to help raise money for the 2012 season. Call Colony Bowl to reserve your lane. 810-794-5535
Open Gyms Times
Open gym starts in March 2012. Location and times will be announced soon.
SCHEDULES & PRACTICE TIMES
Teams and schedules are currently being worked on. Teams will be selected after tryouts and after registration is over. Once final numbers for rosters have been collected, you will be notified of your child's team by their coach/manager. This information will come out during the month of March.
Changes to Algonac Little League for the 2012 Season
1. Algonac Little League and Marine City Little League will have INTERLEAGUE play. Games will be played at both cities' locations. (TBall will not have interleague play.)
2. There will be adjusted age divisions compared to last year. The 2012 season age divisions:
· TBall: Ages 5 & 6
· Boys Pitching Machine: *6, 7 & 8
· Boys Baseball Minors: 9 & 10
· Boys Baseball Majors: 11 & 12
· Girls Softball Minors: *6, 7 & 8
· Girls Softball Majors: 9, 10, 11, & 12
· Boys Juniors: 13 & 14
· Boys Seniors: 15-16
· Big League: 17-18
*6 year olds must have one year of TBall before advancing divisions.
We need YOU!
Get active and become a volunteer for Algonac Little League. Everyone is welcome to come to board meetings. We need parents to help run our league. Volunteer opportunities range from giving a few hours at the concession stand to coaching a team to field maintenance to fundraising assistance.
