The Lady Comets held their season-ending banquet on Sunday at the Glen Oaks Country Club.  Those gathered took time to celebrate another winning season and the team's third consecutive District Championship. In addition, time was set aside to honor the graduating seniors, recognize this year's letter-winners, and honor other achievement by individual players.

Maggie Scanlon was named Most Valuable Player. Lexi Thiel was given the Coaches Award for her all-around contributions and consistency.

Christine Colman earned, for the third year in a row, the team prize for hustle and dedication. Nicknamed the 212 Degree Award, this honor goes to the hardest working player on the team.

Among other players honored were: Anna Laugther, Most Improved Player Award; Abbey Burke,  Rookie of the Year; and Isabelle Clauss, Dagger Award.

Becca Schoenberg received the highly-regarded School Board Award for outstanding "team player." This is a truly coveted honor which is voted on by the members of the team.

Three players--Alex Chapman, Maggie Scanlon, and Christine Colman--were recognized for receiving all-league honors.

The following players were presented with varsity letters:

Fourth Letter - senior Christine Colman

Third Letter  -  seniors Abbey Cadden, Alex Pipcho, and Becca Schoenberg; juniors Emma Black, Emily Sullivan, and Lexi Thiel

Second Letter - junior Maggie Scanlon; sophomores Alex Chapman, Melanie Coles, Paige Eisenlohr, Heidi Frantz, Katrina Helcoski, Sarah Sopinski

First Letter - senior Alexa Plevyak, junior Colleen Smith, freshmen Abbey Burke and Isabelle Clauss.

Thirteen additional players were recognized with certificates.

FAHS-Girls President Kelli Eisenlohr spoke and thanked the girls and all of the parent volunteers for their efforts. Special commendation was given to Cyndi Colman for her long-term service to FAHS and for her work in organizing the evening's event.
