Lady Comets Had Multiple Scoring Threats

     Abington Heights had three players reach double figures in goals and two reach double figures in assists during the 2007 season.

     The team also had four players with at least 20 points (two points are awarded for a goal and one for an assist).

     Julie Hubbard led the team in all scoring categories with 16 goals, 13 assists and 45 points.

     Jessie Fox was the second-leading scorer with 11 goals and 11 assists. Meghan Lenahan had 10 goals and four assists while Caroline Hughes had nine goals and two assists.

     Melody Lyon also reached double figures in points with three goals and five assists.

     The 2007 team got 62 of its 63 goals and 49 of its 51 assists from underclassmen. With the seniors on the team handling primarily defensive roles, Megan Callahan was the only senior to score any points with a goal and two assists.

     Lori Matthews led the defensive players in scoring with two goals and two assists.

     Others to produce points in the 2007 varsity season were: Libby Brundage, a goal and two assists; Katie Hock, two goals; Sam Paolucci, goal and assist; Melanie Beatty, two assists; Justine Leininger, two assists; and Meghan Fraley, goal.
