ADELANTO LITTLE LEAGUE BY-LAWS

1. All registered players 7 and older must attend tryouts to be eligible to be drafted. Any player that does not attend tryouts will be chosen randomly out of a hat for team placement.
2. All players must provide an original birth certificate, no abstracts, and 3 proofs of residency at registration.
3. If a Board Member misses 2 consecutive Board Meetings, and does not notify the President and/or the Secretary before the second meeting why they are unable to attend, any member may bring that persons name before the board to be voted off.
4. Winter Ball league ages are the same as for the previous season. Winter Ball is only for player’s league age 9-12. No league age 12 year olds may pitch.
5.
Players may request a specific manager for winter ball, but no guarantee is given. Teams will be formed by age, ie: 3 league age 9 year olds, 3 league age 10 year olds, 3 league age 11 year olds, 3 league age 12 year olds. Not every team will be able to  have exactly this amount of players of a specific age group, but every effort will be made to make sure the teams are divided evenly.
6.T-ball  players may request a manager , but no guarantee is given that they will be on that manager’s team.
7. Once all teams are drafted, a waiting list will be formed for any late registrations. There is no guarantee that a player on the waiting list will be placed on a team. If by the third week of regular play, a player has not been placed on a team, they will be notified of their status and asked if they would still like to be on the waiting list or if they would like their name removed and their registration fee returned.
8.  Personal checks are not accepted as a form of payment for registration. They may be paid with cash, money order, ATM or credit card. A
.25
cent charge will be applied for any transaction made by ATM or credit card.
9. When drafting a team, each manager will have a lock out option on their first pick. Before the draft, each manager will state who they would like to lock out for their first round draft pick. If they do not pick their lock out by the end of the first round, that player will be eligible to be drafted by any manager. When drafting their own child, they must draft them by the 3rd round if they are’ league age 9, 10, 12, or 14, by the 4th
round if they are league age 11, or 13.
10. No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the snack bar.
11. Every team will be required to provide volunteers to help in the snack bar. If you cannot find volunteers to help, or your volunteers do not show up, there will be a $10 fee, per person, accessed to your team. All fees must be paid in full before closing ceremonies or your team’s trophies will be held.
12. Every manager will be responsible for umpiring games during the season. They may ask one of their coaches or parents to fulfill this obligation. All managers, coaches or parents must attend an umpiring class before they can umpire. If someone from your team does not fulfill their assignment, your team will be assessed a fee that must be paid in full by closing ceremonies or their trophies will be held. The fee is based upon how much we would have to pay another umpire to fill in for them. Each division’s fees are different.
13. NO
FIRST
NAMES may be added to a player’s jersey or sweatshirt under the Majors division. We recommend not putting them on their hats either, but that is up to your discretion.
14. ALL league correspondence must go to the league’s P0 Box.
15.
No one shall receive reimbursement for goods purchased without a receipt.
16. Only one signature is required when writing a check.
17. All injured players must fill out an incident/injury tracker form. If a player does not fill out the form, they cannot be covered under little league insurance. All forms must be filled out ASAP and returned to the Safety Officer.
18. No practice may be held if there are less than 2 adults present that have been board approved through a background check. Any coed team must have both a male and female approved volunteer present at all times.

ADELANTO LITTLE LEAGUE PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

ADELANTO LITTLE LEAGUE PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Parents and spectators often forget that managers, coaches and umpires are unpaid volunteers and that players are only children. These people are on the field doing their best for all the children on the team not just yours. Abusive verbal or physical behavior is unacceptable from parents and spectators in the stands and will not be tolerated. Parent and spectator conduct is a critical part of a successful playing season. A Code of Conduct will now be put in place for all parents, guardians, family and friends of the players and the players themselves. This Code of Conduct must be adhered to at all games, practices and any other Adelanto Little League  sponsored occasions

1. Children will not be dropped off and left at practices or games without the express permission of the manager or coach. Managers and coaches are not babysitters. If parents do not arrive within 20 minutes of the scheduled end time, the police will be called.

2. There will be no negative comments directed toward any manager or coach on or off  the field. .

3. There will be no negative comments directed toward any league official or umpire, especially if the umpire is a minor.

4. There will be no arguing with any umpire or league official on or off the field.

5. There will be no arguing with any manager or coach on or off the field.

6. There will be no degrading remarks in front of or around children or in thestands.

7. There will be no swearing or foul language in front of or around children or in the stands.

8. There will be no smoking or use of tobacco products within 40 feet of the stand, dugouts, playing field or around children.

9. There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages while in the ballpark or common     grounds and around children. Being under the influence will not be tolerated.

10.There will be no use of illegal drugs while in the ballpark or common grounds and around children.

Being under the influence will not be tolerated. Any violation of these rules will be brought to a review committee for appropriate action up to and including suspension from any Adelanto Little League activity. These rules are not meant to inhibit your enjoyment of the games, but to help create a clean family atmosphere. This conduct was created to help maintain decorum in the ballpark and on the playing field and its surroundings.
