Robert Sackey holds a class 'A' coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation and is a regular participant in CYSA- North programs.
He has been coaching and developing soccer programs in the bay area for 17 years, and has been a CYSA Staff coach for 10 years. He is the Technical Director for the Mavericks competitive program of the ACCYSL and has coached many Mavericks teams. He has experience with youth and high school teams, developing the girls and boys soccer programs at Head Royce school, spending 9 years there, as well as developing thegirls program at El Cerrito HS, coaching there for 12 seasons.
He has coached the San Francisco Nighthawks, a woman's semi-pro team which plays in the WPSL. Robert is a native of Ghana and continues to work to further develop the sport in that country. He is the technical director for Sekondi Hasaacas, a men’s premier footbal club. He was part of the technical team for the Ghana men’s national team. the Black Stars, during the 2006 World Cup, as well as working on the technical team for the Ghana women’s national team, the Black Queens, for the 2003 Women’s World Cup.
