Adrienne "Buffy" Walker Cherry was a Lady Vol softball pitcher from 1995-1999 at the University of Tenn. She is also one of our great coaches whom we love and appreciate! She pitched the first no-hitter in Lady Vol softball history in 1996. She was named to the 1997 NFCA All South Region Team and 1997 All Sec squad. Coach Buffy is still ranked in the top 10 in the UT record books in a number of categories including third in Tenn single season ERA, 0.71; third in complete games (61); fourth in solo shutouts (16) and fifth in career ERA (1.97), career appearances (108); career starts (87) and career wins (54). She is currently coaching our team and instructing other young ladies at the WPI Athletic Center in Suwanee. Congrats Coach Buffy!!! Scroll down to see pics of the special day ...
