We are but a couple of weeks away and still, schedules are not finalized. We had a Newmarket coaches meeting tonight and there was lots of good information – and lots of info to pass on.
Most importantly:
Game night remains Thursday – most games to be at Richardson #7 and Max Stiles…good fields, but I question the parking thoughts from the town.
Practice night Tuesday – it looks like we will be at Canadian Martyrs – sharing the field with the U-9 boys B team.
Extra practice night – they want us to take a Friday night for the whole summer – I am working on trying to split a field over the summer with alternating nights but I will not know where or when for a while.
And best of all….the fields are open for next week. We will start our regular practices Tuesday May 8 at Canadian Martyrs 6:30-800. (I will extend these to 8:30 after school is over). I am working on getting a game in with the B team either late next week, or the week after, but I will know more about that next week.
One last thing, for Newmarket day at the Toronto FC on May 19th, there are still some of the $ 15 seats left, and it includes a bus ride down (you can barely park downtown for that…).
And I would like some comments from you parents that I can forward on to the club regarding the “Friendship tour” on Sunday. The club would like to post some comments on the new website which is going to be launched in the next month or sooner. (and some people still owe me the $ 20 for the day).
I cannot tell you when the regular season will start as we have not had our regional meeting as of yet – but when I get it, you will have it.
