Sereno Soccer Club - '96 Golden Eagles (Girls): Welcome

Welcome to what will be another very exciting year for the Sereno 96 Girls White Team.  The 2008/09 season was another very successful campaign as the girls once again won State Cup propelling them into the Far West Regional Tournament held this year in Lancaster, CA. 

As in the prior year, the girls placed 3^rd in a pool of sixteen teams losing 2-1 in the semi-finals to a very talented West Coast side. Nationally the girls are ranked #8, regionally #7 and in Arizona, they are ranked #1.  We invite you to visit www.gotsport.com during the season for all the updated rankings.  Additionally, for all the up to date team news, please be sure to click on "My Site News." 

There are a number of changes to the team this season.  First, the club has decided to opt the girls out of state league play in favor of participating in the Far West Regional League.  Second, after four amazing years, Matt will no longer be coaching the girls.  Paul Lester, their longtime trainer will now be at the helm.  He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and an amazing amount of expertise.  And finally, the team has added four very talented players, bolstering an already very strong team with an eye on a national championship.What follows is our 2009/10 tournament schedule through State Cup.  More will be added as the dates are solidified.  We look forward to seeing you all on the sidelines.  Here’s to a great year.
