FORT WORTH BATBUSTERS GOLD (RHINE): Batbusters News

Batbusters-Rhine arrived in Westminster, Colorado on Sunday, June 27, 2010 to begin preparations to participate in the annual invitational "Sparkler" tournament. There were a total of 187 teams from around the nation that came to participate in the tournament.

Pool play began in earnest on the following Tuesday, with bracket play begining that Friday. Batbusters Rhine played teams from North Carolina, San Francisco, Chicago, and Utah to name a few.

The girls finshed 3rd in their bracket, and 12th out of the 187 original teams that came to play. Their competition was tough, but their offense was supported by a very strong defense.

After a very successful summer season, the girls have taken the next step common to almost every  softball player's career. Batbusters (Rhine) has moved up to join the ranks of the 18 Gold teams. With just a few additions, the core of the team has remained in tact to post a prominent 18-9 record so far in the fall season. Continued hard work, dedication and smart play, are focused on each and every time the girls pick up a glove or a bat. Each player expect to improve each day as they work together to achieve a common goal......Play College Softball.
