94 Lady Sting: Welcome
Welcome to the Home of the Spotslyvania Lady Sting Under 13 AAU Basketball Team
The Spotsylvania Youth Sports program is a 501(c)3 organization, sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), which is one of the largest non-profit volunteer service organizations in the nation.
As mentors, we emphasize the importance of hard work, doing well in school, teamwork, and respect for one another; on and off the court. Basketball provides these girls the opportunity not just to improve their basketball skills, but teaches them what we refer to as LIFE LESSONS!
Many of our student athletes play numerous sports, are involved with Junior National Honor Society, band, church, and volunteering within our community. Our team is comprised of young ladies from Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and Caroline counties.
Our accomplishments last season included the following:
§ Competed in 15 Tournaments
§ Top 3 in all 15 Tournaments
§ Placed 2nd in the State of Virginia
§ Placed 7th in the Nation at Division II Nationals
The 2007-08 Season is in full swing and are looking for an even better year than last. Not just in the Win-Loss column but to improve each girls individual game.
