Rapid Fire Earns Berth to Hall of Fame Tournament!!!
2nd Place
Rapid Fire traveled to Midland May 19-20th with the goal of earning a berth to the Hall of Fame Tournament in Oklahoma City in June.  After a 5-0 pool game win over the '92 Bombers, Rapid Fire began bracket play facing very tough competition on Saturday, in the heavily loaded upper bracket.  Rapid Fire defeated the Austin Stars 2-1, the Ft. Worth Batbusters 8-0, and '92 Texas Elite 3-0.  On Sunday, facing the only other undefeated team in the tournament, Rapid Fire defeated Texas Glory in 3 innings, 17-2, guaranteeing Rapid Fire a 1st or 2nd place finish, earning a berth to the Hall of Fame Tournament.  With a long drive ahead and upcoming finals to study for, the team decided to forfeit the championship game, and take the hard-earned 2nd place finish.    Overall, it was a great team effort throughout the weekend for Rapid Fire.  The team finished the tournament with a 5-0 record, outscored their opponents 35-3, and recorded 3 shutouts.  Congratulations to the out-of-the-park homerun hitters: Stacia (1), Devon W. (1), and Jordan (2).    Rapid Fire would also like to welcome our newest member to the team, KelVon.  Great job Rapid Fire!!!
