Twins are Finalists at Adidas Labor Day Shootout

The Twins opened up the Fall 2008 season by reaching the finals of the Adidas Labor Day Shootout. On Saturday, the Twins faced the Chantilly FCV Explosion (formerly known as Loudon) and CASL Premier. The Twins emerged from their first game with a 4-3 victory. Maddie had 3 goals and Sarah Fitzgerald had one. In the afternoon, the Twins defeated CASL Premier, 3-1. On Sunday morning, the Twins faced the Richmond Kickers and came away with a 3-2 victory. In the finals, the Twins played the three-time Virginia State Cup Champion BRYC Azul and were defeated 4-0. All in all, it was a great opening weekend for the fall season.
