TCS State Championships 18U July 7,8
No pool play, straight double elimination which began on Friday night. 5-3 victory over No Fear in very comfortable weather. Saturday came and so did the heat. The next game was against Shockwave at noon and the girls rolled to 8-0 win. A game off and next up is the Scottsdale Storm in the hottest part of the day. ITB was needed as both teams fought hard but a 10-7 victory meant a game another game off. Storm worked its way back but a long day in the sun may have been too much. The Hotshots bats were back and created a run rule win 9-1. Nice to see those bats ladies, keep the hits coming! The pitching was powerful and the defense strong, impressive.
