GAME ONE
The Barons take their first game at Bell Cup.

Defeating Team Illinois in SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME !!! 2-1 for the C-Town Boys.

Nail biting, scoreless First and Second periods! Followed by a hard hitting third period in which TI scored first. But the Barons answered just one minute later. With just over 2:00 minutes left in the 5:00 overtime our offense put one in for the WIN!

Game TWO
Our boys can't do anything the easy way.... sigh.

Another overtime. But this time ending in a tie. 2-2

Scoring early in the first period the boys then got into the penalty box a little too often. Allowing the Chiefs to rally to a 2-1 lead. But our boys came back strong in the third period to tie the game.

Skills Competition and Opening Ceremony
The Barons represented themselves well in the skills competition today. Vince competed in the puck handling and fastest skater events.
The competition was fierce and extremely close.

Mike competed in the rapid fire and breakaway events. After totaling the goals against between the two events, a three way tie for first resulted in a shoot off. A Little Cesear's shooter was choosen for the tie breaker. After two rounds of tie breakers Mike took second place. WAY TO GO!!!!

The opening ceremonies had all 32 teams on the ice in their jerseys. What a sight to see!!

Game Three
Morning just isn't the Barons best time to play hockey.
The Barons have their first loss 4-1 to the Syracuse Stars.

Our only loss puts us in 3rd for our division.

Consolation Championship Round
The boys seem to always want to do things the HARD WAY !!!

The Barons jumped out quickly in this first round of the consolation championship games. Heading to 3-0 victory things went heywire with only 2:00 to go. The Rangers (a NY select team) tied the game.

The Barons came out victorious after THREE periods of overtime!! The player that scored our first goal in the game also scored our game winner in the SIXTH period! What was especially nice to see was our MWEHL opponents COMPUWARE lined up on the boards cheering our team on!!

Next we faced our friends the Barrie Icemen. The Barons scored first but that was the only one. The Icemen were very physical and kept the pressure on our team. A tired group left the rink 5-1

All in all it was a really great tournament!!!
