ARKANSAS ASA ADOPTS REVISED MACHINE PITCH RULES EFFECTIVE MARCH 2007
Arkansas ASA has adopted a revised set of rules for machine pitch play (8u and 10u) effective immediately. In an effort to incorporate comments and suggestions from coaches and officials, the revised rules address issues such as defensive placement (pitchers and outfielders), incorporation of the 10u look-back rule, when a runner may leave the base to steal and runs per inning. In addition to the revised rules, Points of Emphasis are included as well as information for umpire mechanics. These rules should further enhance and advance the level of play in machine pitch. You may view the complete rules by either clicking on the handout or headline link above.
