Scrimmage/"A" and "B" Team

We did a great job tonight during our scrimmage!!  I saw a lot of good things and some things we need to work on. Now it's time to get a rolling!  One more practice tomorrow than game time.  Remember you will be let out at 2:30. You will pick up your Subway if you have it and then get dressed.  I want everyone on the bus by 2:45.

It was a tuff decision deciding on A and B.  I have a lot of talented girls again this year.

Coach Introduction
NCJC Champions

I started to coach for District 100 in the year 2002. I am starting my 8th year as the girls sophomore basketball coach at Belvidere North and my 2nd year as girls head coach for track, also at Belvidere North. I am also a para-educator at BNHS. This is my 7th year coaching 7th grade volleyball at BCMS. Our 7th grade program has been very successful over the past 6 years with two second place finishes, one third and back to back to back championships the last three years. This year’s 2014 7th grade volleyball team will consist of 18 players. The team will be split into an A and B sqad with an “A” NCJC Conference Tournament at the end of the season. I am proud of every team I have coached here at BCMS at look forward to another fun and exciting season!

The mission of 7th grade volleyball is the same as 8th. First, we spend much of our time working on the fundamentals of the game such as serving, passing, setting, and hitting. Second, we prepare the players to make the step to 8th grade volleyball. Lastly, we teach skills through volleyball that can be applied to life. Some of these skills are: being on time, teamwork, role acceptance, work ethic, along with numerous others.
