Welcome to Saskatoons FINEST slow-pitch team...........The 69ers!
Do you like competitive ball, can you hit a home run every time you bat, do you work out more than 3 times a week?
If you answered yes to any of these questions please leave now, we're not that kind of team!
However.............if you like to have fun, enjoy playing ball, love cold tasty beverages and the socializing after the games, then your the player we're looking for!
We are a semi-competitive co-ed slo-pitch team and while we like to win, we're mainly out there to have fun.
Take a moment to visit our History and Roster sections to learn more about the team and it's players.
Joke of the Week
Beach Volleyball 2009
The season is well on its way and the team is doing pretty good with only one loss to date.
Newcomer Allie has been drinking up a storm and manages to get in some volleyball in between drinks!
All in all it has been bloody cold however, many beverages are still being consumed and it is shaping up to be another great season.
Volleyball schedule is now online so click on the volleyball to see when we play. Note that the online schedule shows our team name as 69ers but to the dissappointment of most, the official team name will remain "Sag & Drag"! (Rhea, in a few years you will better understand the name!)
Slowpitch - 2009
Well people, the snow is gone and ball season is upon us!
It is great to see almost all of last years team returning and we also welcome you new players (officially known as the newbies for the 2009 season)to Saskatoons finest slow pitch team. Newbies of course buy the first two rounds of drinks at our opening game.............
Based on our first practice, I must say the team is looking pretty good this year and the true test will be on next Friday when we play our first game.
The schedules are now on line so all you "fans" can click on the tasty beverage picture to find out game times.
I'm looking forward to yet another fun year of ball/beer and will see everyone out there on May 8th.

Coaches Corner
June 29th:
Tonight we played one of our favorite teams, The Beers, and ended up splitting the games with a win a piece.
Game Notes:
- coach sucked tonight on all levels and is in desperate need of some practice at the batting cages
- all star pitcher Rob returned to the line up, pitching his way to a victory in game 2
- Ang was a superstar at second and saved many a play throughout the night
- Al continued his homerun streak with 3 dingers this night
- Pam is a bad influence and I have decided I am much to old to be out until 2:00 in the morning!
- Although Brian didn't bat spectacular, he did bat well enough to win beer off of the coach
- Neil is much to stressed during the games and we will be bringing some valium to the games from here on in so his head doesn't explode!
Strike Out Pennant 2009
Because striking out in Slo-pitch is not humiliating enough we thought, why not share this with everyone!
It is now time to remove last years hall of shamer from the site and we look forward to "crowning" a new strike out champ for 2009!!!
Week 1 - Pam, Week 2 - N/A, Week 3 - Al, Paul, Week 4 - N/A, Week 5 - N/A, Week 6 - N/A, Week 7 - N/A, Week 8 - N/A, Week 9 - Pam
