BRAD STONE FALL CLASSIC
2011 BRAD STONE FALL CLASSIC
Contact information and dates will be posted shortly
Jeff
In memory of our son and brother Brad Stone. Brad passed away on July 1, 2000 from a sudden and severe asthma attack. He had just finished his PeeWee A season at Flint Iceland Arena (EMHA). Upon his death, friends and family members of Brad generously started a scholarship fund in his memory. It has grown to a substantial amount with plans of giving out scholarships to youth hockey players and Lake Fenton High School seniors.
Brad's jersey number was 61 and the Eastern Michigan Hockey Association voted to retire his number in October of 2000. Many people have asked how Brad chose this number. Brad admired Mike York, who at the time played for MSU with the number 61. He chose Mike's number for his own because he loved the way Mike played the game.
100% of all proceeds are donated each year to Brad's Scholarship fund. All funds are turned over to The Community Foundation of Greater Flint. To date we have collected over $270,000 from generous donations, The Brad Stone Summer Classic and The Brad Stone Fall Classic.
