Welcome to Hi-Lo Wrestling Club

Hi-Lo Wresting Club was formed as a result of a clear need for a quality wrestling program in the Phoenix inner-city. We believe in building young athletes to excel in life as well as on the mat.  We here at Hi-Lo Wrestling are products of the inner-city environment. We understand the pit-falls and pressures that surround young people everyday...because we lived it. Wrestling gave many of us an outlet to showcase talents that we wouldn't have had an opportunity otherwise. Our coaches have won State Titles, Division I Conference Titles, Division II Conference Titles, and Military Freestyle Competition Titles. We give feedback. We don’t teach fancy clinic moves that don’t work.

Hi-Lo Wrestling Club is directed by L.C. Cain. Former Divsion I Wrestler, 2x ACC Champion, 4x US Air Force Freestyle Champion, Armed Forces Championships Bronze Medalist, US Air Force Europe Athlete of the Year.

A product of the inner-city, Mr. Cain realizes the pitfalls that can occur with young men and women who have no outlets to stay out of trouble. Coach Cain uses wrestling as a way to teach not only wrestling skills to survive on the mat, but skills to survive in life.

Quality Coaching We are knowledgeable, trained, and passionate professionals. We believe that coaching is a profession—no, everyone can’t do it. Just because you were an athlete doesn’t qualify you to coach. Just because you love kids doesn’t qualify you to coach. Just because you have done it for a long time doesn’t qualify you to coach. Hi-Lo Wrestling coaches are qualified. We understand the sport. We understand how to teach.

 Designed Practice Sessions

Our practices are planned, intensive, and focused. We don’t waste time on coaches’ war stories (if you’ve ever attended camps you know what we mean). We have structure, not chaos (unfortunately what happens in lots of club and school practice rooms). Fun? Not really. (That comes when you win). Rewarding? Always.maximize your potential.

 Respect

We respect workers. As a result, everyone improves.

 Goal-Oriented Program

There are no short-cuts. There is no quick-fix. It takes time, commitment, and the right program. At the end of the day, no matter what anyone might tell you or how smooth, slick, or right it sounds
