Year-round Basketball Academy 

The Basketball Academy is located at 24 Hour Fitness in Laguna Niguel every Wednesday and Friday nights

5onfive, inc. is a South Orange County based company dedicated to the basketball development of the youth of Orange County.  The Company offers a variety of services to the basketball community.  The services are:

Basketball Academy – teaching the fundamentals of the game.  Offered two (2) nights a week.

 Basketball League – playing basketball in a league situation.  Offered three (3) times a year – Spring, Summer and Fall.   

AAU/Travel teams – teams made up of the more talented kids in South Orange County.  Teams travel around California and neighboring states to compete against other teams.  

 Individual and Team Training – private training by June Banks.  June and the student work on individual skill sets in a one hour session. 

Camps – providing instruction in a two, three and seven day camp setting.  

The Company was incorporated in 2002 .  The Company’s founder and President, June Banks, has over 35 years of playing experience, 11 years of basketball training experience and 8 years of coaching (recreation – high school) experience.

We give back to the community by raising money and donations through the “Charity of Choice” program.  Some of the organizations we have helped are Boys and Girls Club of San Juan Capistrano, CHOC Pediatric Cancer Research, Second Harvest, Hoops for Hoop, Make a Wish, Orangewood Children's Home and Ronald McDonald House. 

In 2009 5onfive launched H.O.O.P.S. ( Helping Out Our ProgramS). With the recent budget cuts in our public schools the lower level basketball programs may be cut due to lack of funding.  Through fundraising efforts we are trying to raise enough money to help keep the programs alive.  In December 2010 nine (9) South Orange County High Schools received $600 ($300 for boys program and $300 for girls program) each to help with costs associated with running a basketball program.

 5onfive, inc. is a year-round basketball organization designed to help boys and girls develop and take their skills to the next level.  5onfive, inc. runs a Basketball Academy and year-round basketball leagues.  Additionally 5onfive offers individualized and team training, camps and club teams.   

Company Goals  

5onfive, inc.’s primary goals are to provide basketball instruction in a personal setting in order to help its’ students progress and develop in the game of basketball and to create a positive environment that fosters improved self-confidence and self-esteem through experiences in basketball-related activities.  

Business Philosophy 

5onfive, inc.’s Basketball Academy and other programs are dedicated to providing all youth with the highest quality training and team experience through sports participation. Participants are treated with respect through the opportunity to experience growth in the areas of interacting with others, teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play, and skill development.  

The Basketball Academy provides them with the fundamental teaching needed to improve their basketball skill level. 

The Individualized Training Programs enables the serious student to develop, refine and hone the basketball skills necessary to continue playing competitively through high school, college and beyond. 

The League provides an opportunity to play the game of basketball. During the length of the league the Basketball Academy is offered free for league participants. 

The AAU/Club team offers the better skilled player the opportunity to play in a more challenging environment by playing other club teams throughout California and the United States.
