Holiday Classic 5 on 5 Flag Football Tournament: Welcome

Nothing goes together quite like Fall weather, football, and the Holidays. This year volunteers from some of the youth sports here in Tulia will host its inaugural 5 on 5 Flag Football tournament on Dec. 8th and 9th to benefit the areas youth sports progams and Amarillo's Make a Wish Foundation. This will be a recreational tournament set up for anyone 14 and up who share a love for friendly competition and football. This will be a 10 team - double elimination tournament and teams will be entered on a first come first serve basis. Here are some ways you can register:
*Pickup forms at City Hall in Tulia or Cardinal's Sporting Goods in Plainview and mail forms and fees to Tulia Flag Football Organization, PO Box 423, Tulia TX 79088
*Call 806-995-1799 or 830-370-6856 after 5 p.m. to register your team by phone
*Open registration will be available at Lowe's Supermarket in Tulia every Saturday leading up to the tournament from 3-4 p.m.

Cost is $120 per 10 man roster plus $20 per each additional player. Players under the age of 18 will require a parent to sign a waiver form. Awards will be given as follows:
1st- Team trophy, shirts, grilled brisket donated by Tulia VFW, and free entry into 2008 tournament
2nd- Shirts, and free entry into 2008 tournament
3rd- Shirts
*Shirts will ordered post tournament and all teams will be given a Holiday Turkey donated by Lowe's Supermarket for their participation
