Congrats to our "3on3 Hockey International" alumni (he's also our son) Logan Couture for being selected in the 1st round - 9th overall - in the 2007 NHL entry draft by the San Jose Sharks. Logan played his minor hockey for many years with the Lucan 'DD' Irish of the OMHA, then entered the Alliance 'AAA' for a few years before joining the Jr. B St. Thomas Stars as a 15 year-old. He debuted this season in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks and scored his 1st NHL goal in Detroit on November 5th 2009. He was voted in as a starter for 'Team Canada' at the 2010 AHL all-star game.
Congrats to our tournament alumni and family friend Drew Doughty who was the 2nd over-all pick by Los Angeles Kings in the 2008 NHL entry draft. Best of luck to Drew, who has been named to represent Canada in the upcoming 2010 Olympic games hockey tournament!
For comparison purposes, a competitor operated a 3on3 tournament In Fort Erie in the Spring of 2009 offering a 4-game guarantee for $600 per team. Another operator in Milton Ont. offered a 2008 March break tournament with a 3-game guarantee for $550 per team, and another in Edmonton offers a 6-game guarantee but with only 15-minute length games, for $800 per team.
Play in the tournament events operated by '3on3 Hockey International' as we initiated youth 3 on 3 ice hockey tournaments in Ontario, now in our 14th year in 2010. Many leagues throughout the province have been spawned from our original youth tournament concept hatched in 1997.
IMPORTANT: A reminder to all teams to be as accurate as possible when detailing the level of your players & birth years of same. On occasion we will mix birth years within the same divisions as we are genuinely trying to create balanced divisions skill-wise. Your co-operation in providing accuracy about the skill-level of your team is vital and expected. Nobody enjoys blow-outs. Let's strive for honest, good competition please!

Alumni Memorials:
Jalen DAY 1993-2005: The Couture family wish to constantly pay tribute to the memory of young Jalen Day of Watford who passed away in 2005. Parents David & Rhonda, brother Jordan and all their family members suffered a truly tragic loss with his passing.
Jalen was an alumni who we are extremely proud of knowing, and he had valiantly fought a personal battle to overcome cancer. Jalen was always smiling and had a tremendous demeanor and attitude, he never quit. He was a shining example of a great person for all of us. Jalen, you are still sorely missed and always remembered by many, including all of us here at 3on3 Hockey International.
Other tournament alumni who entered their teams into our tournaments who have sadly passed away include Pete Wild & Charlie Bayliff, who will also always be remembered by us for their admirable sportsmanship & loyalty to their teams, children and our events.
