LABATT PARK - PLEASE VOTE AT BASEBALL.CA

Labatt Park is among the 16 finalists in the Baseball Canada ... 'Canada's Favourite Ball Park' contest.

We encourage any of the teams that played on Saturday at Labatt Park to vote this week.

We believe that Labatt Park is the best baseball park in Canada, and we are sure that anyone who made their first visit to Labatt Park on Saturday will share that opinion.

Thank you in advance for voting!

A-CHANNEL SPORTS COVERAGE

Special Thanks to A-Channel London for the coverage the tournament received on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Including the play  ...http://atvsports.wordpress.com/2011/08/01/the-play/

LOCATIONS - Click on Park name for directions.

BYRON SPORTS COMPLEX

The satellite photo of Byron Sports Complex was taken prior to field improvements done in 2009, and does not at all reflect those improvements. The Byron Sports Complex has a collection of fastball and baseball diamonds, and a number of soccer fields including a fastball diamond named "Harve Baillie Field." Harve was president of Baseball Ontario 1981-1982 and heavily involved in Baseball Ontario and Baseball Canada for many years.

EMSLIE FIELD AT PINAFORE PARK, ST. THOMAS

One of the 16 finalists in Baseball Canada's 'Canada's Favourite Ball Park Contest' Emslie Field lies at the back of beautiful Pinafore Park off of Elm St.  The baseball park is named after Bob Emslie who was a major league pitcher in the late 1800s. After his playing career Emslie turned to umpiring in the major leagues. It was during his umpiring days that he was given the nickname 'Blind Bob' by famous major league manager John McGraw.  First time visitors to Emslie Field will have to be patient as they take the scenic drive through Pinafore Park, but once there they will find a true 'gem' of a baseball park.

DAN PULHAM MEMORIAL FIELD

Formerly named LDBA Park. The park was re-named in a ceremony June 12, 2010 honouring long-time baseball volunteer, coach and admisinstrator Dan Pulham who passed away on July 2, 2008. Pulham was named London Sportsperson of the year in 2001, Baseball Ontario Volunteer of the year in 2002, and he was inducted into the LDBA Hall of Fame in 2007.  Look for the osprey nest on the centrefield light standard.

NORM ALDRIDGE FIELD AT STRONACH PARK

Built for the 2001 Canada Summer Games, this field is named after Norm Aldridge a long-time baseball, fastball, and hockey coach/trainer/administrator. Mr. Aldridge was among the original group of men which included former New York Yankee Frank Colman who organized the Eager Beaver Baseball Association in 1955. Norm can still be found around Stronach Park in the summer. Be sure to look him up because he is always willing to share stories of his exploits and about some of his old friends such as Frank Colman and Tim Burgess.

LABATT MEMORIAL PARK

Labatt Park is the "oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world", with a history dating back to 1877. Since December 31, 1936, the park has been owned by the City of London. Seeing is believing when it comes to Labatt Park. Surreal! One of the 16 finalists in Baseball Canada's 'Favourite Park Contest'

Parking is available on the third base side of the park.

The first base concession will be open on Saturday.
