Lions Roar!

Hello Lions,

I just wanted to send out some thoughts on last nights Championship win!

As this is my last season of coaching youth football
(6 yrs, 15 seasons), last night was the highlight of my coaching career! I have never been a part of any game where we have come back after being down that fast to such a good team and have such a resounding comeback! Our boys dug down deep and held their heads high and roared back in Lion fashion! I am proud to be their coach, and am very proud of each and every one of them.

We have achieved one more step to our final goal, the job is not done and mountain is still a steep climb in front of us. But with the outstanding coaches and the phenomenal players we have on the field, I believe as much as I did when we as parents and coaches met on the Cedar Park High School field in July. We are a powerhouse football team that will do great things now that we have worked through a whole season of adversity in the last 3 weeks! These players have overcome and believe in themselves now as much as the coaches and parents always have from day one.

Thank you all for "showing" up last night and shutting down the NWA fan machine!

Go Lions!

Preseason Notes

Hello Lions,  I hope everyone is excited about the season!

Here are a few notes.

·       Please respond to me and let me know if you are planning to be out of town anytime from Aug 1-Aug14th. This is our conditioning period and the boys must complete these workouts. Also remember that player certification is Aug 16th so we really on have out conditioning time ensure that all kids make weight.

·       Game Shoes/socks:  These need to be BLACK if they have some color stripes or something that is ok but the primary color is black.  I will order game socks for the team, these will cost  about $5-$8/pr

·       For all you that have a video camera and are just dying to use it, the coaches could use some help filming opponents this year. If you are willing to help us with this just drop me an email and we will get with you as the season starts.  Once the schedule is out we try to set up a scout/film schedule as well. I know the coaches would appreciate any help with this task.

Just a reminder about the physical and that it must be on the Pop Warner form this year. There are couple of doctors in the LCP area that are partners with the league and will do them for $20. Check out the LCP website for details.  www.popwarnerlcp.com

I will tell you that I and the other coaches are very excited about the Lions, we are looking forward to the season! We cant wait to see these boys hit!!!

Have a great day,
