1 Team 1 Dream: About Us

1Team 1Dream AAU Program was established in the summer of 2011 by its directors James Pearson Jr. and Michael Pearson Sr. The 1Team 1Dream AAU program has multiple teams in age groups of 14U, 15U and 17U boys only. As life has shown us all, every ending creates an opportunity for a new beginning.  1Team 1Dream is our opportunity to begin with a new direction and focus. The goal of the 1Team 1Dream Program is simple: We want to function as a program for the players. Our program puts the needs and interests of the players 1st.

  • We coach in the best interest of the player.
  • We teach with the players best interest in mind.
  • We discipline for the personal improvement of the player.
  • Our goal is to help players grow, on and off the basketball court.
With this individual focus, each player will develope the talents to be a contributor to the overall team effort.Skills on the court are only one aspect of a 1Team 1Dream player. Each player must maintain a 2.0 GPA. in order to play.  It is critical that our players and parents understand that a High School and College education is MANDATORY. Our primary focus is to improve basketball fundamentals through training and practice sessions. It is our opinion that basketball is as much a mental game as it is physical and both aspects of the game need to be developed.  All AAU teams have talent, but we stress maximizing a player’s athleticism and mental approach to the game by:
  • Identifying specific situations and the proper play/decision to make.
  • Knowing when to take a shot and when to be aggressive.
  • Finding the proper court positioning for rebounding, shooting, etc.

Our program reaches out to the following cites: Tracy, Turlock, Modesto, Sacramento Roseville, Stockton, Antioch, Benicia, Berkeley, Concord, Dublin, Fairfield, Fremont and Hayward just to name a few.

 Our Vision

The vision of 1Team 1Dream is to establish a Boys Basketball AAU Program, with an emphasis on academic and athletic success. By preparing our young players with College level training, supporting their academic studies, and competing in high profile basketball tournaments throughout the nation, our players will gain valuable exposure to college coaches and recruiters. This increases the chances and probability that our players will have more scholarship opportunities made available to them in the future.
