Small Spinning Basketball
*One hour or so is spent focusing on core drills that players can do by themselves on any court. Every player has a ball in their hand during this time. We work as a group, but every drill is designed to be individual.

*The last 30 minutes is spent scrimmaging. The focus is on using skills they have learned or worked on during the workout. We encourage the kids to try skills they are weak at or have never tried in a game setting.  We do a lot of teaching during this time, and we mix up the types of scrimmages that we do.  We have a lot of creative scrimmages.

*By the end of a 1 on 1 Teaching Hoops workout, players are typically exhausted. Along with teaching  individual skills and fundamentals, 1 on 1 Teaching Hoops demands physical and mental toughness.

Small Spinning Basketball

Hi Everyone,

I have been a terrible web manager, but we are currently working on a new site and it's been a long process.  I apologize for the lack of information on my site.

The basketball season is in full gear!  I am enjoying watching so many 1on1 girls play from the little ones, to our high school kids and so many college girls.   I am proud of everyone of them!

I do have to brag a little on my own daughter, Nikki Nellen.   Nikki is a senior at  D2 Lewis University and her team is currently Ranked #2 in the Nation.  Nikki has been the starting point guard since a few games into her freshman year. I am mostly proud that Nikki never let the doubters stop her.  Many said she was not good enough, many told her to forget it, many told her she was not good enough to play Division 2 basketball.  Nikki knew what she wanted, she worked hard, and she accomplished her goal of playing college basketball.   This is a story I love to tell all of our 1on1 girls.   If you want it bad enough, it's yours for the taking!   www.lewisu.edu  for more news on Nikki and the Lewis Flyers.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Caoch Mary

Shawna is running Elite level workouts for players in 8th - High School.    If you think you are a higher level player, please contact me and I will get your information to Shawna.     It is so exciting to see so many players advancing in this game.  Wisconsin is becoming a highly recruited state which makes me so happy !!!

1on1 will continue to work with players of every level as  I believe that anyone who wants to play this game can !

I wanted to share this with all of my 1on1 family as I think these girls deserve to be recognized for their hard work.  These girls played for me since 8th grade and are now current seniors.   They have had dreams of playing college ball for many years, and now their dreams are going to come true.  They are going to get college educations and are using basketball as the vehicle to get them there.   I am so proud of these fine young ladies and can not wait to see what the future brings for them !!
