2008 Cary Crusaders
Welcome to the 2008 13 Year old Crusaders!
The Cary Crusaders are a newly formed 13 year old boy's travel baseball team which is part of the Cary Crusaders Sports Association. The team is made up of boys from the McHenry County area. Our coaching philosophy is centered around teamwork, true player friendship, baseball skill development, character development, family involvement, and of course, having fun. We are part of the McHenry County Baseball League and play league games within McHenry County.

Wool Street Grill Fundraiser a Huge Success!!
A huge thank you goes out to all the family and friends that participated in the "Dine and Share" at the Wool Street Grill in Cary on April 1st. Mark and Mindi Green - owners of Wool Street - tell us that this was their biggest and busiest "Dine and Share" ever. Our total sales were $1596. We earned $319, but the Greens have graciously bumped up the donation to $400.00. Thank you to the Greens and the Wool Street Grill for their generosity!!!!

Road to Rosenblatt Tournament and The Wool Street Grill
Please help the Cary Crusaders raise money for the "Road to Rosenblatt Tournament" by having dinner / drinks on April 1st at the Wool Street Grill in Cary. Mention to your server / bar tender that you are there for the Cary Crusaders and 20% of the sales generated that evening will come back to the team. Thank you in advance for your support!

Saturday, December 1

The Crusaders participated in a pizza fundraiser through Leonardi Foods. The team sold 262 items and profited $934.95. Thanks to Liza Solarz and the First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake for letting us use their facility to pass out all the pizzas.

Cary Crusaders help out at the Mack Manor Again!
Crusaders -Mack Manor
The team volunteered again at the Mack Manor. They group painted tombstones, pulled staples out of the walls of the Haunted House and pounded in nails. The boys then stuffed dummies that were placed in the "Omen Room". We ended the night with pizza and pop. Thanks to Mike, Marilyn, and Marcus Thimios, Jim and Devin McDonough, Jimmy Schroeder, Baily Zintl, Andrew Snyder, and Jeremy Brinkman. You guys did a good job. The boys will have the opportunity to be monsters in the production of "Hollyweird" in the weeks to come.

Saturday, October 6
13U Cary Crusaders Volunteer at the Mack Manor
Mack Manor Volunteer 4
Part of the team was able to volunteer 3 hours at the Mack Manor in Fox River Grove today. We pulled nails and flattened staples in 200+ boards. Laura Mack, the Mistress of the Mack Manor, stated that we saved them a dollar for every board we pulled nails out of. We hope to help them out more on the 13th with pulling staples out of walls and stuffing characters with newspaper. Thank you Brandon, Jimmy, Devin, Jeremy, and Kathy, (Brandon's mom) for your help today!
